BenQ T51

From the very first look, the BenQ T51 makes it clear that it’s a phone with a difference. Attuned to a sleek simplicity, its distinctive design and materials make it perfect for style-conscious urbanites. And with a built-in audio player that plays back your music with superb sound, the T51 is also for those who want to keep their mobile lifestyles rocking.Looks like BenQ is really digging the shiny mirror look. Check out these 2 shiny phones. The first on is the music flagship T51. It is actually a clamshell (doesn’t look like one when it’s closed…looks like some mp3 player). It has one of those screens that disappear when not in use and external dedicated media player buttons. It features stereo bluetooth, 1.8 inch screen and microSD support. The second phone is the T33 . It is also a music focused phone. It adopts the slider form factor and features 1.8 inch screen , stereo bluetooth, 2 mega pixel camera and microSD. I must say that the phone looks gigantic.

One look at the T51 tells you it was created as much for music as for communications, with a smoothly integrated audio player that supports AAC and MP3 file formats. Right on the front, you’ll find all the controls you need to play your music—no need to open up the phone—along with an ultra-cool display that shows current song info. You can use text messaging and other features with music playing at the same time, and set MP3 songs as ring tones or alarms. There’s a slot for microSD cards to store your favorite tunes on, and Bluetooth for listening wirelessly. For even more listening pleasure, the T51 also includes FM radio, your source for the latest music and news.

The Hitachi DZ-H303 already was announced in Japan a month ago. It looks like Hitachi is bringing the DZ-HS301 also to Europe soon and eventually to the United States. The Hitachi DZ-HS301 features a 15x optical zoom, 1MP still photos and a 2.7 widescreen LCD. The Hitachi DZ-HS303 sports a better CCD sensor and takes [...]

Canon ZR700
14 Mar 2010

The Canon ZR700 tops off the ZR series this year, which has undergone serious cosmetic changes, including a new joystick control. How does the ZR700 hope to distinguish itself? The differences from next step-down, the ZR600, are small but crucial, including the analog inputs. Combine this with a 30x optical zoom and solid low light [...]

Panasonic VDR-D250
14 Mar 2010

While Mini DV still remains the digital recording format of choice, there are many people who are naturally graduating towards DVD. Many of these are relatively new to the camcorder world having simply skipped the whole tape era. Others prefer the ease of recording onto a disc and wirelessly slipping it into a DVD player. Either [...]

Panasonic Viera TH42PX60
13 Mar 2010

Panasonic’s Viera range is now firmly established as a front-running flat-screen brand. The manufacturer’s early missteps, such as the use of low-resolution screens and a lack of digital video connections, have now been consigned to the dustbin marked ‘past mistakes’, as this new model shows. It’s fully prepared for the rapidly approaching high-definition revolution, sporting [...]

Toshiba REGZA 37WLT68
13 Mar 2010

With Toshiba?s M100 system the core principal is the same; scanning the picture 100 times a second rather than 50. But here, with LCD being a largely flicker-free technology, the reason for doubling the scanning rate is actually to counter the problems LCD traditionally has showing rapid motion. The thinking being that adding extra frames [...]
